ITALY Greetings!

Telstra Phone Diversion

With decoupage old cards back to relive the past in the present ..

Among my childhood memories I have imprinted in my mind the image of my grandfather, who was playing cards with friends in what is called the south " cellars, places like you would call today "aggregate" in a way similar to the bar, but unlike these were attended only by men and where the only drink served was the wine.
I still remember his smile when I look out the door to greet him ... glimpses of Sunday's Italian past that I wanted to revive the mouse pad ..

Difference Between Bloodmoon And Morrowind

Sunday of rain? No problem, restoring old scarves and necklaces made accessories for my new wardrobe!

"I'm singing in the rain ..." sang in an old Gene Kelly movie, but a rainy Sunday a bit 'sad is not it? And I was looking in my closet already hoping for a spring clothing .. but ... look here look there, I came across the old scarves, which are not to be thrown away, but I certainly do not seem very current ... and then that necklace, how many memories, just throw it sorry, it absolutely not! So what? But I make a new no? Few knots here and there and voila .. ..... now I can even sing I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain ....

For us women

Women
of Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Keep in mind that the skin makes wrinkles, hair becomes white
,
the days turn into years ...
But what is important does not change;
your strength and your conviction have no age.
Your spirit is the glue of any spider.
Behind every finish line is a line of departure.
Behind every success there is another disappointment.
long as you're alive, feel alive.
If you miss what you were doing, go do it. Do not live
yellowed photographs
insist ... even if they expect dropouts.
not let it rust the iron in you.
Make sure that instead of compassion, take you over. When
because of the years you can not run, walk fast.
When you can not walk fast, walk.
When you can not walk, use the stick.
But do not hold back ever!

I do not need money.
I need to hear

Dear all

I suggest a visit to the exhibition "The Way of silk meet in Verona" at the Public Library (Via Cappello) where an exhibition of the works, not in competition, molto belle e particolarissime,

invites you to linger over those words, passages, words that will resonate more within, and then talk about it together. Best wishes, corinna

1861
I PITTORI DEL RISORGIMENTO

Francesco Hayez La meditazione 1851

1861 The painters of the Renaissance has recently closed its doors to the stables of the Quirinal , a tale emblematic of a crucial time in our history, told through the works of major artists such as Francesco Hayez , Joseph Molteni, Domenico and Jerome Induno, Eleuterio Pagliano, Federico Faruffini Giovanni Fattori, Silvestro Lega, Edward Borrani, Michele Cammarano and Joseph Sciuti. The myth of a civic engagement as told by a history painting that tells the story of the men on the battlefield and the emotional intimacy of the home and family. The idea of a united Italy "had accompanied the Italian political thought from Dante on" with Napoleon and the concept of nation was rooted in the conscience, eating in the nineteenth century of civil passion and the "desire for freedom" values of those romantics who led the Risorgimento and the crucial events of the period between 1859 and 1861. Events narrated by the sign and the colors of those who had lived those experiences in the field, with notes and drawings documenting the climate bloody and passionate, as Jerome Induno who had participated personally in the shipment of Crimea. A painting that illustrates and documents in a literary realism tones big business and the "human misery" by providing the key to a narrative close "to the appearance of reality" and the popular dimension that "rose to prominence in history." A painting filtered by patriotic ideals with obvious purpose of education to the masses to witness a national identity to which art offered its tools, as happened with the Italian National Exhibition opened in Florence in 1861. A humus which nourished the poetic art but also music, theater and literature to build the awareness of being in the Italian people. The theme of exile and abandonment in the light of continuous migration, expressed those feelings of gloom and uncertainty due to geographic mobility and the fragility of the posting. Francesco Hayez interpreted the insecurities of these events in The people of Parga who leave their homeland (1826-1831) recalling the sad events of a political history that had brought the city to ask the British protectorate on the threshold of the end Napoleonic empire, which will then be revoked protectorate because of geopolitical reorganization of Europe during the Restoration . In 'work Meditation (Italy in 1848) , (1851) reflection falls on the climate, but strong-willed disillusioned of an Italy lost and defiled by the violence, represented by the figure of a woman strong and sensual, disgraced in the body and strong in the religious consciousness. An image that recurs in hopes Venice (1861) by Andrea Appiani jr. in the symbolic representation of a city betrayed in the guise of a woman humiliated and broken. Many references to small and great stories, from The Return of the sailor (1866-1870), Hearing the news of the day (1864) and the Descent d'Aspromonte (1863) by Jerome Induno, to Portrait of Giuseppe Garibaldi ( 1861) of Silvestro Lega, the refined and intimate atmosphere it home The tale of wounded (1866) and the Letter from the field (1859) of G. Induno . The bloody visions of Faustino Joli, the popular and revolutionary realism Michele Cammarano and Napoleone Nani and patriotism and theatrical narrative Giovanni Fattori.

"Everyone says goodnight at night:

answer yet goodnight, I will.

EMILY DICKINSON

"And 'this immortal instinct of beauty that makes us see the world and all its beauty as a reflux, as a match the sky.
The unquenchable thirst for all that is beyond, and reveals the life, is the most vivid proof of our immortality.
With poetry and through poetry, music and through music, the soul perceives the light that shines beyond the grave, and when a perfect poem gives birth to tears, these tears are not the sign of excessive joy, but rather a sign of exasperated sadness, a need nervosa, a kind of exile in the imperfect, who longed to have suffered in this world, a paradise found "

PRIZE FURLA 2011

The Premio Furla curated by Chiara Bertola , is an Italian competition for young people to support creativity artists in contemporary art and fashion design. Born in 2000 in collaboration between Stampalia Onlus Fondazione Querini Venice Foundation Furla Bologna Foundation Carisbo and MAMbo , Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Bologna, reaches the its eighth edition. An operating system that involves artists, curators, critics and museums, supporting projects of the five finalists this year are housed in the splendid setting of Palazzo Pepoli. "The prize now stands as a milestone for the comparison with other countries by many Italian artists, thanks to the ability of its organizers to set up an institutional network of contacts with art critics, curators, museum directors and art centers of international prestige. " A project wide-ranging interaction between creativity and territory, by promoting contemporary Italian culture in its various expressions. Among the finalists: Alis / Filliol, Francesco Arena, Rossella Biscotti, Matthew Rubbi, Marinella Senatore . Alis / Filliol alias Andrea Respino (Cuneo, 1976) and David Gennarino (Turin, 1979) have been working on an artistic mark on two of their artistic research on a change of perspective that leads them to work from ' inside of the sculpture. They talk about the idea of de-finish of the social body of work that sculpts the economic time, observing the characteristics of the sculpture "movements of production and exchange of goods" in the relationship of the individual with the "social landscape".

revisit together author Raffaele Licinio, professor of Medieval History at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Aldo Moro Bari, the phases of battlements that have affected the South during the late Middle Ages in an international perspective. A phenomenon in progress before its time, which involved a multifaceted dall'interculturalità territory.

A book that offers food for thought in light of the debate on the value of integration, the idea of territory, with its geopolitical issues, economic and bureaucratic, in a 'heavy loss of identity in Italy.

medieval castles. Puglia and Basilicata: from Norman to Frederick II and Charles I of Anjou (movable type editions) is the first in a series entitled Questions of History, directed by Raffaele Licinio and Francesco Violante with an authoritative presentation of Joshua Musca. A volume of historical research on the castle system that affected southern Italy during the Middle Ages to regain the historical dimension of events from the cliché of a false mythology castle.

The history of the fortifications is the witness of the gradual unfolding of historical evolution in which there was a cultural and political change that characterizes the structure of a new company. The fortifications are a symbol of an anthropological value that contains a thought economic, political and religious. A system of power which engages in the development of an identity that is built on a feudal system and the growing power of a church with the Latin clergy. The late medieval fortification in the South plays a strategic and political control of the territory, a real form of government and management of highly centralized feudal society. A place where the multifunctional defensive needs are combined with those of population and agricultural use. The military function of battlements defended the agricultural economy of the territory, "The securitatis quies" factor is strong acceleration of "facere castles.

But when and why and who created the castles were the castle? There was a real castle bureaucracy? The fortification is historically associated with the crisis of Byzantine rule and the subsequent Norman. With Roger II meet in one kingdom all the Norman conquest of southern Italy, the fortification becomes a system of political control and strengthening of the monarchy, by Frederick II, will be the instrument of a highly centralized power. The fortification is a process that comes with military and defensive purposes but represents a phenomenon of regional planning, management of its population and its agricultural colonization of the Byzantine logic of battlements responded to the needs of defense and promotion of productive land and their people. By Norman fortification affirming the idea of centralizing power antiurbano that reprimerà autonomist pressures cities. Along these lines, will continue the Swabian castle building in Castel Del Monte is the symbol of this ideology of power. With the Angevin Charles I and Charles II will maintain the tradition of Norman and Swabian castles and strengthen the structures on the defense plan. The United Angevin is a feudal state that structures with less rigorous relations between central and peripheral governments, including the king and barons Ultramontanes who want to make their own fiefdoms a territory reserved. The central government of Frederick II will become a feudal monarchy and will be broken up between the French barons who built their own fiefdoms in strengthening the system further fortifications defensive castle.

Ed ecco come con la sua prima tegola (tra l'altro molto bella, brava!!!), la mia amica Grace descrive il viaggio nella sua città natale, emozioni che ha voluto immortalare su questa tegola da fiaba...

"The Streets of Strasbourg are a succession of typical Alsatian half-timbered houses, which have given me charm and nostalgia.
I walked those streets with the memory of a time lived with a child's eyes.
To my dear friend Lilian with a smile I said I felt like an immigrant who was returning home after several years. "
